Sixty years, and one lake she never stopped returning to.
Three children, seven grandchildren, and a career that took her to four capitals. Amina asks for nothing but your company on the shore where she learned to swim — a long dinner at one table, a short speech from each of us, and the sunset she has promised is the best in Malawi.

Before you travel
Getting there
Cape Maclear is four hours from Lilongwe. A coach leaves the Bingu Conference Centre at ten on the Saturday and returns on the Sunday afternoon; reserve a seat when you reply.
Staying over
Rooms are held at Chembe Point under "Juma" until the first of February, and there are simpler lodges along the beach for those who prefer them.
Children
The lake is for everyone. Children are very welcome, and there will be a fire to sit around.
