What is guest photo sharing?
An add-on that lets your guests share the photos and short videos they take at your event, on your invitation itself. Everything they share comes to you, and you can download it all. It is K100, on any package.
How do my guests share their photos?
On the day of your event, each approved guest receives a WhatsApp message with a Share your photos button. It opens your invitation at the sharing panel, where they enter their reference number once and choose photos or videos from their phone. There is no app to install, and the same button is on your invitation for anyone who opens it.
When does the message go out?
At the start of the first item on your programme for the day — the time of your marriage blessing, for example. If your programme has no times, it goes at 08:00. Guests can share from the start of the day of your event, for as long as your invitation is online.
Who can share?
Any guest whose reply you approved, using the reference number they received with their confirmation. It is also in the message they receive on the day. Each photo carries the name the guest gave when they replied, so you know who shared it.
Can guests share videos?
Yes — short ones, up to 60 seconds each. Each guest can share up to 50 photos and 10 videos.
Who can see what is shared?
By default, everything shared appears in a gallery on your invitation, so your guests can enjoy each other’s photos. If you would rather keep them to yourself, switch the gallery off from your dashboard, and guests are told their photos go privately to you. You can hide any photo or video at any time.
Do I need to approve each photo?
No. Photos appear as they are shared, and you can hide any you would rather not show. A hidden photo leaves the gallery straight away and is left out of your download.
How do I keep them?
Sign in, open your event and press Guest photos, then Download. We prepare a zip of every photo and video, named by the guest who shared it, and email you a link to it. The link works for 7 days.
How long are they kept?
Until 30 days after your event is archived, along with the rest of your invitation’s files. Download them before then.
Can I add it after my invitation has gone out?
Yes, at any time before your event. Message us and we will switch it on; the message to your guests is scheduled for the day automatically.
Is a guest’s location shared with their photos?
No. Photos are prepared on the guest’s phone before they are sent, and the location the camera records is left out.
